January 18, 0-24 hours, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 118 new confirmed cases, of which 12 cases were imported from abroad (Shanghai 4 cases, Zhejiang 3 cases, Guangdong 3 cases, Shanxi 1 case, Shaanxi 1 case), 106 local cases (43 cases in Jilin, 35 cases in Hebei, 27 cases in Heilongjiang, 1 case in Beijing);
32 new cases were cured and discharged from hospital on the same day, 1286 close contacts were released from medical observation, and 18 more serious cases were reported than the previous day.
274 confirmed cases (of which 2 are serious cases) and 2 suspected cases have been imported from outside China. A total of 4530 confirmed cases, a total of 4256 cases of cured discharge, no deaths.
As of 2400 hours on January 18, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported that there were 1,387 confirmed cases (of which 61 were serious cases), 82,432 cases had been cured and discharged from hospital, 4,635 deaths had been reported, 88,454 confirmed cases had been reported and 2 suspected cases had been reported. A total of 942,449 close contacts were traced, and 35,325 close contacts were still under medical observation.
