July 24th, 0-24 hours, 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps reported 34 new confirmed cases, of which 5 cases were imported from abroad (Shanghai 2 cases, Guangdong 2 cases, Inner Mongolia 1 case), 29 local cases (20 cases in Xinjiang, 9 cases in Liaoning);
16 new cases were cured and discharged from hospital on the same day, 256 close contacts were released from medical observation, and 1 case of severe illness was reduced from the previous day.

As of 2400 hours on July 24, according to 31 provinces (autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government) and Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, there were 261 confirmed cases (of which 11 were serious cases), a total of 78889 cases were cured and discharged from hospital, 4634 cumulative deaths were reported, 83,784 confirmed cases were reported, and 2 suspected cases were reported. A total of 778,052 close contacts were traced and 11,500 close contacts were still under medical observation.
