Source: China Science and technology news, June 26, 2013, recently, Liu Qingsong, research group of the strong magnetic field science center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, undertaken the key support project of "one three five year" strategic planning of Hefei Institute of material science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, i.e the first phase construction of high throughput drug screening and testing technology platform, has been preliminarily completed, and now it has entered the practical stage When pharmaceutical researchers need to select "drug precursors" with research value from thousands of compounds, they usually use the way to make these compounds interact with disease-related cells However, the artificial screening of "drug precursors" with high activity is not only time-consuming and laborious, but also has low accuracy The high-throughput screening method uses an automated operating system, which is fast, efficient, sensitive and accurate It has great advantages in finding new active compounds and has been widely used in the creation and discovery of new drugs by major pharmaceutical research and development institutions around the world The high flux screening test platform of the strong magnetic field center is mainly composed of an automatic liquid separator, an automatic workstation and a microplate reader It can realize a complete set of drug screening pipeline operations including automatic liquid separation, automatic sampling and automatic detection, and can complete 10000 drug screening tests every day At present, the platform is mainly used for screening antitumor compounds and combination drugs based on cell level Its application will effectively improve the research level of screening and testing of high-throughput combination drugs in China.
