High-yield, early maturity, strong disease resistance scientists bred 38 new lily varieties
Science and Technology Daily News (Reporter Yu Huiyou) cultivated 38 new varieties and varieties of ornamental and edible lilies, developed 1 new product of lily sauce wine, reserved 11 invention patents, and promoted and applied more than 90,000 mu in 8 years
.
The reporter learned from the Hunan Academy of Agricultural Sciences on September 13 that it was developed in cooperation with Hunan Agricultural Environmental Ecology Research Institute, Hunan Yuelu Mountain Chinese Medicinal Material Seed Industry Innovation Center, Hunan Muta Biology, Hunan Lanyan Biology and other seven units.
It is understood that there are several varieties of lily in China, but problems such as low yield, weak resistance, and insufficient processing and utilization are common
.
To this end, the team jointly carried out research on early-maturing and disease-resistant varieties of lily and research on post-harvest processing technology, and selected a series of new lily varieties with high yield, early maturity and strong disease resistance, and newly developed a sauce-flavored type with unique flavor in the application.
38 new varieties have their own characteristics
.
For example, the team discovered that the susceptibility gene of Fusarium was missing due to the diploidy of lily autopolyploid, which effectively increased the dioscin content of lily against stem rot, and cultivated a new, highly resistant ornamental variety "Guiyang".
