Fibre-Fixed: Composites in Design showcases a range of products using fiber-reinforced composites. The exhibition, which will run until 21 April 2019, is co-curated by Ignaas Verpoest of the University of Leuven and Lut Pil of the Lucca School of Art in collaboration with Envisions, a Dutch design research studio.
Hensmey is the main sponsor of the Fibre-Fixed exhibition, providing financial support to the event's organisers, and two exhibits

. It is showing off a window frame based on RIMLINE fiberglass-reinforced pull-out molding and an ultra-lightweight license plate holder developed for the KTM 1290 Super Duke R motorcycle, which is equipped with a powerful 1300 cc/170 HP V engine.
window frames use Huntsman's RIMLINE resin technology, which has a robust profile, high strength and weather resistance, and low thermal conductivity. The innovatively designed motorcycle license plate holder uses Huntsman's VITROX resin technology as part of the industry program Project RACE led by KTM Technologies. KTM Technologies is an engineering company with strong expertise and capabilities in composites and mixtures and their applications.
Bolshakova, Senior Marketing Manager at EAMEI, Hensmey Transportation, said:
Irina Bolshakova is delighted to be participating in this exhibition and working with curators to showcase the unique designs that combine fiber and plastic into composite structures. Composites are becoming more common in our lives, helping to reduce the weight of vehicles, produce stronger building materials, and make more comfortable seats and sleepers. The exhibition focuses on the breakthroughs made in composite technology over the past five years and aims to give participants a look at new products that may emerge in the field of composites in the near future.
Vangrimde, technical manager of the polyurethane composite EAMEI division of Hensmay, said,
Hensmeier is committed to developing a variety of plastic technologies for use in designing more durable and sustainable products. Our polyurethane composite technology is versatile, easy to use and safe to use in the production of fiber-reinforced plastics to design everyday objects with a unique personality. "
