    As of August, the total amount of chilled salmon exported from Norway to China has remained the same for the entire year of 2020, even if compared with 2019, the top 7 this year.
    The monthly export volume still increased by 21%

    Norwegian salmon’s share of the Chinese market increased from 43% to 56%

    "I think this achievement is attributed to the reliability of Norwegian exporters' supply and the general high recognition of the quality of Norwegian salmon in the Chinese market

    " Thorud said, "We believe that Norwegian salmon needs to expand its overall market scale and products need to be diversified.
    Expand the distribution channels to market segments outside the catering sector, and more products will enter the retail sector and online sales

    In the first seven months of this year, Norway exported 97,000 tons of seafood to China, a year-on-year increase of 29%, with a value of 2.
    9 billion Norwegian kroner, a year-on-year increase of 22%

    The export volume of live king crabs reached 70 tons, valued at NOK 26 million, a four-fold increase over the same period last year

    Thorud commented: "The Greater China market, including Mainland China and Hong Kong, accounted for 31% of Norwegian live king crab exports

    We will also focus on launching a number of marketing activities to promote Norwegian shrimp, crab, shellfish and other seafood products.
