    According to the Press Service of the Ministry of Economic Development and External Relations of the Russian Amur Region, the Amur Region’s soybean exports to China in the first quarter of 2021 were 219,000 tons, exceeding the total soybean exports of the entire year last year
    .
     
    In addition to soybeans, the region also exported 4,700 tons of soybean oil and 8,600 tons of soybean meal to China this year
    .
    Overall, the supply of soy products to Chinese partners has doubled over the same period last year
    .

     
    The export volume of agricultural products from the Russian Amur Region to China was announced at a video conference on the development of cross-regional cooperation in the field of soybeans between Russia and China
    .
    Many provinces in the Russian Far East and China participated in the meeting
    .
    The event was co-hosted by the Chinese Embassy in Russia and the Russian Ministry of Economic Development
    .
     
    The meeting also pointed out that China has been a reliable importer of Amur agricultural products for many years, and China's imports accounted for 97% of the total Amur agricultural exports
    .
    Before the end of 2021, the Amur Region plans to supply another 100,000 tons of soybeans, 30,000 tons of soybean meal and 20,000 tons of soybean oil to the Chinese market
    .

     
    The Amur Region also plans to increase the production of non-GMO soybeans to 2 million tons to increase the production of soybean processed products for subsequent export to Asia-Pacific countries
    .
     
    According to the bilateral plan to deepen cooperation in this field signed by Russia and China in June 2019, Russia will increase its supply of soybeans to China
    .
    The five-year plan aims to ensure the growth of soybean production in Russia, develop trade, logistics and investment cooperation, and establish a complete production chain to improve the quality and quantity of soybeans and their processed products
