The Tehran Times reported on March 30 that the Iranian Fisheries Organization (IFO) announced that in the past Iranian calendar year (ending March 20), the country produced nearly 58,000 tons of shrimp

It plans to produce 130,000 tons of shrimp annually by 2025
.
The IFO said that in order to significantly increase shrimp production, resources including operation, site and construction, development and mechanization equipment are required, and feed supply, which accounts for 65% of the cost, has a great impact on production increase and market prices
