"The uniqueness of the D2d study is that we recruited two-thirds of high-risk prediabetes patients with abnormal blood sugar, and we recruited more than 2,000 participants.
During the trial, there were 28 cases of renal function deterioration in the vitamin D group and 30 cases in the placebo group

The average changes in renal function during the follow-up period of the two groups were similar .
