Source: China Journal of traditional Chinese medicine August 29, 2014 International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Recently, two international standards, semantic network framework of Chinese medicine language system and metadata of Chinese medicine literature, have been published for the first time The international standard was developed by Cui Meng, researcher of Chinese Medicine Information Research Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, under the strong support of the State Administration of traditional Chinese medicine and Chinese Academy of Sciences, and the information standard development team lasted for three years The semantic network framework of TCM language system stipulates the semantic types, semantic concepts and semantic relationships of TCM language system, and defines them in detail This standard not only standardizes and supports the construction of TCM language system, but also provides semantic standards for the creation of TCM terminology system and ontology, and supports the mapping of TCM language system and unified medical language system, which is of great significance for the exchange of TCM terminology information The metadata standard of traditional Chinese medicine documents stipulates the basic principles and methods of metadata standardization of traditional Chinese medicine documents, covers all metadata contents with common features in the field of traditional Chinese medicine, and provides a set of general description elements for the literature resources of traditional Chinese medicine It can describe the literature of traditional Chinese medicine in a standard, scientific and reasonable way, and provide information about the identification, content, distribution, quality, restriction and maintenance of the literature of traditional Chinese medicine, so as to support the collection, storage, retrieval and use of the literature of traditional Chinese medicine, and promote the exchange and sharing of the literature resources of traditional Chinese medicine, which is of great significance for the systematic protection and deep utilization of the literature resources of traditional Chinese medicine These two standards are the first TCM Information Standards issued by the international organization for standardization, which play an important supporting role in the construction of TCM terminology information system and document information system
