Colon cancer is associated with an increased risk of physical and psychosocial disease, even after treatment
Colon cancerColorectal cancer
Researchers conducted a pragmatic 2×2 factorial, open-label, randomized, controlled trial in eight hospitals in the Netherlands, and included patients with stage I-III colon cancer or rectal and sigmoid cancer undergoing radical surgery.
From March 26, 2015 to November 21, 2018, a total of 353 patients were recruited
QOL changes for each group
QOL changes for each groupThe median follow-up was 12.
At 2 months, there was no clinically significant difference in QOL changes between the surgeon-led care group and the GP-led care group; there was no significant difference between the Oncokompas group and the non-Oncokompas group
In terms of QOL, in the first year after colon cancer treatment, GP-led survival care may replace surgeon-led care
