Invasion of exotic species of aquatic plants leads to the loss of biodiversity of native species in aquatic ecosystems

The results of field investigation and simulation experiments showed that compared with the native species, the abundance of attached algae on the plants of the two invasive species, water hyacinth and budworm, was lower, which was related to their higher biomass and coverage

The study showed that the two harmful invasive species of floating plants had stronger stress on the attached algae than the native species
