It was learned from the Guangzhou Municipal Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision on September 19 that the bureau recently conducted random inspections on the quality of automotive paint products in the city’s production fields.
A total of 6 batches of products produced by 4 companies were randomly checked.
The quality of the batch of products does not meet the standard requirements.
The spot check found that a batch of automotive topcoat (R-301NH-555/16kg/tank type I single-component cross-linked 2014-04-07) produced by Guangzhou Enbi Coating Co.
, Ltd.
had the hardness and volatility of the paint film.
The organic compound (VOC) content item is unqualified and is under review for rectification.

This supervision and spot check is based on the standards of GB/T13493-1992 "Primer Paint for Automobiles", GB/T13492-1992 "Colored Car Topcoats", GB24409-2009 "Limits of Hazardous Substances in Automobile Coatings" and other standards.
Test, pencil hardness, sandability, volatile organic compound content, restricted solvent content, heavy metal content and other items are inspected.

According to the quality supervision department, the main components of volatile organic compounds (VOC) are hydrocarbons, halogenated hydrocarbons, oxygen hydrocarbons and nitrogen hydrocarbons, including: benzene series, organic chlorides, freon series, organic ketones, amines, Alcohols, ethers, esters, acids and petroleum hydrocarbon compounds have a greater impact on human health.
