Recently, Liu Zhibo's group from the Center for Life published a research paper entitled "Boron encapsulated in a liposome can be used for combinational neutron capture therapy" in Nature Communications( DOI : https://doi.

In this work, the authors linked a carborane with high stability, hydrophobicity and high boron content to the side chain of phosphatidylcholine, and the obtained boronated phospholipid structure assembled to form a new class of boron-containing lipids body, namely boronsome
