In September 2013 , the Air Pollution Prevention and Control Action Plan was released and implemented.

First, the air quality improvement target has been fully realized.

While achieving the improvement goals in an all-round way, the overall air quality across the country has been greatly improved.

Second, major breakthroughs have been made in industrial, energy and transportation structural adjustments.

The proportion of national coal consumption in primary energy consumption has dropped from 67.

Third, a new model of air pollution prevention and control with Chinese characteristics has basically formed.

In the next step, the Ministry of Environmental Protection will work with all regions and relevant departments to achieve the goal of winning the blue sky defense war and do the following tasks.

The first is to fully launch the combat plan to win the blue sky defense war.

The second is to continue to promote the treatment of loose coal pollution.

The third is to do a good job in upgrading and reforming key industries.

The fourth is to accelerate the promotion of pollution control by motor vehicles.

The fifth is to strengthen joint prevention and control in key areas.
