National revised norms for medical researchers and institutions: Do not step on the "red line"!

In order to further standardize the integrity of medical research and strengthen the responsibility of the integrity supervision of medical research institutions, the National Health Commission, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the State Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine have recently revised the "Code of Integrity and Related Behaviors in Medical Research".
Medical research personnel engaged in research activities and the integrity standards of medical research institutions draw a "red line", define the boundary of "right and wrong", and promote the continuous improvement of the medical research atmosphere.

 

For medical researchers, the norms clarify the basic norms that medical research activities should follow.
The first is to clarify that medical scientific research activities cover the entire process of scientific research activities such as application for scientific research projects, pre-experimental research, implementation research, result reporting, project inspection, implementation process management, results summary and publication, evaluation and review, and acceptance.
The second is to emphasize that medical research must firmly establish the awareness of biosafety, and comply with laws and regulations in the process of engaging in pathogenic research.
The third is to determine the principle that the relevant records and data of medical scientific research activities are centrally kept by the unit.
Fourth, it is clearly stated that phenomena and opinions that have not been scientifically verified should not be disseminated to the public in popular science propaganda, and that during the epidemic prevention and control period, the guidelines for epidemic prevention and control management requirements should be strictly followed.

One is to establish and improve the internal management system.
The second is to strengthen the internal management system.
The third is to strengthen results management and establish a traceability mechanism for the entire process of scientific research results.
The fourth is to downplay the relationship between the number of papers published, impact factors, etc.

Fifth, establish a vocational training and education system for scientific research personnel, and strengthen the integrity education for medical researchers.
