Norway's NORTHAL plans to build a land-based salmon farm in Yantai with an investment of $400 million, which is expected to start in the first quarter of 2021, Sourcefish said on Nov. 30.
phase will cost $198 million to build egg farms, growth tanks and processing facilities, with a planned annual production of 10,000 tons.
the second phase will cost $200 million to further refine the ovation site and growth tank, eventually increasing production to 20,000 tons.
Aquaculture, a supplier of recycled aquaculture systems (RAS), is Northal's main technical support partner, providing equipment, construction support and design services.
November 14th Nosal established its local company in China, Nuo Fresh Salmon Biotechnology Co., Ltd., with a registered capital of $66 million, and when completed, will become China's largest salmon production, trading and processing center.
