On December 14th Itrafish, a Norwegian company owned and operated directly by Cristian Saether, launched a high-end caviar product that it plans to sell to hotels and restaurants in the United States for more than $500 per kilogram.
Cibus Maris plans to launch the luxurious Cymra Northern Lights caviar, which will sell for 4,500 Norwegian kroner ($514) per kilogram, or 250 Norwegian kroner ($28.6) per can of 55 grams.

Cibus Maris are MSC certified, and the plant in Nordland Beiarn, Norway, plans to produce 4 tons per year, worth 18 million Norwegian kroner ($2.1 million), and 10 tons per year over the next five years.
Cibus Maris is the only company in Norway that processes deep-processed fish and is the only producer in the world that does not color caviar and produces preservative-free products in a unique way.
