(Xinhua) -- Japan's monthly exports of PVC exceeded the 50,000-ton mark for the first time in three and a half years, according to March pvc data provided by relevant agencies. In addition, Japan's January-March PVC exports also exceeded the same period last year.
Japan's PVC exports have been in good shape since December due to increased production capacity of vinyl chloride monoliths (VCM), improved capacity utilization of pvc, and good conditions such as lower crude oil prices and the continued depreciation of the yen.
Although Japan's PVC exports to China have fallen below a third of their previous peak as China's domestic production has advanced, exports to India have surged since March, exporting more than 20,000 tonnes in the month, surpassing China, the biggest exporter, for the first time.
