PPG Industries has introduced a new coating for PerformaLoc

PPG Industrial Group announced on January 22nd that its
Coatings
business unit has successfully industrial production of PerformaLoc high-performance coatings. The resin volatile organic compound (VOC) content of the coating is low, cross-linking performance is good, the curing speed is fast and the protective film formed is hard. Therefore, the coating is sprayed on metal parts and no longer needs to be baked or forced to dry.
This product provides excellent light preservation, color preservation and excellent chemical resistance, salt resistance, moisture resistance, wear resistance and non-aging properties, extending recoat time and helping to improve process efficiency for equipment manufacturers and component suppliers, thereby increasing yield and reducing energy and labor costs.
PerformaLoc coatings are superior to other high-performance polyurethane coatings when used in the same time as polypropanol epoxy resins or polyurethane triggers. PerformaLoc has a low viscosity and can also be used as a traditional polyurethane. Because PerformaLoc coatings dry very quickly and form a hard, long-lasting protective layer, they are ideal for some equipment with poor heat resistance.
