    According to a report by the Philippine Business Mirror on May 31, the prices of processed meat products in the Philippines may stagger in the next eight months due to the exhaustion of stocks and the reduction in imported supplies.

    The Philippine Meat Processors Association (Pampi) stated that the entire industry has “run out” all the low-priced mechanically deboned meat (MDM) of chicken meat and started to use chicken meat purchased at USD 1.

    Starting from this Monday, as meat processors increase their prices nationwide, Filipino consumers will need to pay at least 3 pesos per pack to buy their favorite hot dog brands.
