The COVID-19 pandemic caused by the new coronavirus poses a serious threat to global public health and socioeconomic development
In order to analyze the impact of mutations in the receptor binding region (RBD) of the S protein on host tropism and antigenicity, and then to draw a panoramic map of 2019-nCoV mutation on ACE2 species tropism and neutralization escape, Professor Xia Ningshao The team used the RBD point mutation pseudovirus library (153 species) and 11 pseudoviruses that were or are currently circulating variant strains of concern (VOC, including Omicron) and variant strains of interest (VOI) pseudoviruses to simulate the invasive infection of the new coronavirus, and compare the different expressions.
