    Hyoscyamine and its racemate atropine (atropine) and its derivative scopolamine are all tropane alkaloids (TAs), which is a basic clinical drug.

    Researcher Huang Shengxiong, the researcher and head of the frontier team of the National Key Laboratory of Natural Medicine Chemistry at the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences, has continued to conduct research on the biosynthesis of TAs and has made important progress.

    Recently, the research group and Liao Zhihua’s team have cooperated again, using multidisciplinary research methods and methods such as multi-omics, plant molecular biology, structural biology, etc.
