Using protein to create unique melody is achieved through the use of protein-to-music algorithms

"Most of the existing protein music is designed by simply mapping certain amino acid patterns to basic musical characteristics such as pitch and note length, but they cannot map well to more complex musical characteristics, such as rhythm and sum.

In their experiments, the researchers analyzed the pitch, length, octave, chord, dynamics, and themes of four classical music pieces from the romantic period of the 19th century

"We chose Fantasy-Impromptu's specific music >

Similarly, some proteins were selected in the study because they are similar to the key attributes of the Fantasy-Impromptu >

Then, they drew a map of 104 protein structures, physical chemistry, and combination of amino acid properties and 6 musical characteristics

Among all the tested proteins, the researchers found that the musicality of the protein has been significantly improved

"The oxytocin receptor protein produced our favorite song," Zhang said

However, the author did notice that although the guided algorithm improves the overall musicality of protein songs, there is still a lot of progress before it is similar to real human music

"We believe that the next step is to explore more musical >
