On May 20, the Minister of Geology and Mines of Guinea, Mr.
Majia Suba, visited FRIA Province 160 kilometers away from the capital Conakry to inspect the progress of Rusal's FRIGUIA alumina plant in the province
.
The restoration and reconstruction of the RUSAL FRIGUIA alumina plant is progressing smoothly, and about 35% has been completed.
There are currently 850 employees in the restoration and reconstruction project of the plant, of which 95% are local employees in Guinea.
Mr.
Pavel Vassiliev, general manager of the Guinea branch of RUSAL, said Minister Majia Suba stated that the restoration and reconstruction of the FRIGUIA alumina plant is planned to be completed in April 2018, and an annual production capacity of 650,000 tons of alumina will be formed
