MOSCOW (Xinhua) -- Russia will export 35,000 tons of instant coffee in 2020, up 60% from the same period last year, making it the world's sixth-largest exporter of instant coffee, according to a forecast by the Russian Export Center, as quoted by the Russian Businessman newspaper.
the world's top five instant coffee exporters are Vietnam, Brazil, Germany, Spain and Italy.
's instant coffee exports for the first 10 months of 2020 were 265,000 tonnes ($130 million), higher than exports for the whole of 2019 (212,000 tonnes).
exports of instant coffee this fall (September-November) reached the level of 4,000 tons per month, according to the Russian Export Center.
the first 10 months of this year, Russian instant coffee is mainly exported to Belarus (7,300 tons), Kazakhstan (4,200 tons) and Uzbekistan (2,300 tons).
The Russian Export Center pointed out that the increase in Russian instant coffee exports, on the one hand, is related to the new crown during the outbreak of other countries to reduce production or stop production, on the other hand, the devaluation of the ruble also makes Russian products more attractive.
Chantulia, general manager of the Russian Tea and Coffee Producers Association (RUSTEACOFFEE), noted that Russian instant coffee exports to Eastern European countries are increasing and that the Chinese market is a more promising export direction.
