Russia's Animal and Plant Inspection and Quarantine Agency said it had banned the import of tomatoes and peppers from Armenia's Almaville state since December 14 because of the discovery of Pepino mosaic virus in these products. "The Russian Animal and Plant Inspection and Quarantine Agency considers it necessary to ban the import of tomatoes and peppers exported and/or produced in the State of Almaville, Republic of Armenia, from 14 December 2020 in order to prevent the entry and spread of the anchovies leaf virus into and within Russian territory,"
