On June 2, 2021, the South African Ministry of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Affairs issued Announcement No.
315 through the Government Gazette No.
446366, which proposed to amend the National Standard for Canned Tomato Sauce (No.
SANS 1798 Ed 2.
2) .
The main contents of the revision include:

1.
Revise the color price index requirements and testing methods in the final product sensory inspection project;

2.
Delete some requirements for product names;

3.
Some reference standards have been updated

This regulation applies to canned ketchup products sold in South Africa, and the feedback period for the announcement is until July 12, 2021
