On October 27, 2021, the Korean Ministry of Food and Drugs (MFDS) released the first phase results of the mandatory application of the safety management certification standards for imported cabbage kimchi .
The main contents include:

(1) Explain the status of obtaining the certification of "Imported Food HACCP Application Enterprise" for the first time in the two places, and promote the mandatory implementation of the first phase of the imported kimchi food safety management certification standard (HACCP)

The compulsory application period for imported cabbage kimchi starts on October 1 this year
.

(2) On September 27, MFDS signed a memorandum of understanding with major Chinese market supervision administrations to enforce HACCP requirements for imported cabbage kimchi, and require certification, and conduct evaluation based on the content of the memorandum

(3) After evaluation, Qingdao Haoote Food Co.
, Ltd.
and Linyi Ajin Food Co.
, Ltd.
in Shandong Province, China obtained the "Imported Food Safety Management Certification Standard Application Enterprise Certificate" on October 20
