Team chief, China Agricultural Research Institute of Vegetables and Flowers, director Zhang Youjun researcher, pest resistance is a natural evolutionary phenomenon, is the result of selection effects of pesticides.

The team discovered a key resistance cytochrome P450 gene formula through transcriptomics research in the early stage; the researchers used molecular biology and biochemistry to confirm that in the process of resistance formation, there are a set of 6 special genes including METTL3.
