new study corrects misconceptions about weight loss in older groups, suggesting that obese people over the age of 60 and younger people lose weight through lifestyle with the same effect.Obesity is a common metabolic disorder that can become a "heavyweight" regardless of your age, gender, educational background, and social status. As the main cause of hypertension, coronary heart disease, fatty liver disease, diabetes and other diseases, obesity affects people's health and reduces people's quality of life. With the advent of an aging society, the elderly group has become the main force in the obesity sector. Many people think that young people metabolize vigorously, lose weight easily, while the elderly group metabolizes more slowly and lose weight becomes more difficult. Is that really the case?In a recent paper published in Clinical Endocrinology by researchers at the University of Warwick, Coventry and Warwickshire University Hospitals (UHCW) NHS Trust, "Older age does not influence the success of the loss of the way through the development of lifestyle modification" corrects misconceptions about weight loss in older groups, suggesting that obese people and young people over the age of 60 lose weight through lifestyle with the same effect. The study randomly selected 242 obese patients who participated in the WISDEN (Warwick Group Diabetes, Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Centre) obesity service between 2005 and 2016 and divided them into two groups, one under the age of 60 and the other between the ages of 60 and 78, to compare the effects of age on weight loss. After changing their eating habits, mental state, exercise patterns, and other lifestyles, the researchers measured the weight of all patients and used SPSS Statistics to calculate the percentage of weight loss (%WL) in both groups. The results showed that the data obtained from the two groups of participants were statistically equal, with participants over 60 losing an average of 7.3 percent of their body weight, while participants under 60 lost an average of 6.9 percent. It can be seen that the use of lifestyle changes to lose weight is not affected by the age of patients. And another study, published in Nutrition by researchers at the University of Navarre in Spain, showed a negative correlation between optimal diet and physical activity and fatty liver degeneration index in older patients with metabolic syndrome (55-75 years of age) with a body mass index (BMI) beyond the normal range. This suggests that this age group can not only lose weight, but also reduce obesity-related complications. Therefore, age should not be an obstacle to weight loss success. As long as you want to lose weight, you need to be healthy, it's not too late to act at any time! (Biological Exploration):1.Age does not influence the success of weight loss through the development of lifestyle modification.

2.Influence of lifestyle factors and staple foods from the Mediterranean diet on non-alcoholic fatty liver disease among older individuals with metabolic syndrome features.
