The Ministry of Finance announced that after review by the Tariff Commission of the State Council and approved by the State Council, following the reduction of import tariffs on some consumer goods on December 1, 2017, my country will also impose other import and export tariffs on January 1, 2018.
Import tariff adjustments in 2018 will continue to support innovation-driven development and supply-side structural reforms, encourage the import of advanced equipment, key components and energy raw materials that are urgently needed in the country, and reduce digital X-ray photography system flat-panel detectors by means of temporary import tariffs.
In order to better play the role of tariff macro-control, according to changes in domestic and foreign supply and demand, the temporary import tax rate of nickel ingots will be appropriately increased.
In order to promote the “One Belt, One Road” and free trade zone construction, China will implement treaty tax rates on some imported goods originating in 26 countries or regions.
