The 2022 Frontier Progress in Nutritional Toxicology Academic Conference, hosted by the Nutrition and Toxicology Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society and jointly organized by the Sichuan Food Safety Society and Chengdu Medical College, was held on November 18, 2022 Held in

The conference invited 11 experts to make relevant academic reports, from more than 100 universities, research institutes, disease control institutions and other relevant experts, scholars and scientific and technological workers participated in the meeting, the conference was held

The opening ceremony of the conference was presided over by Associate Professor Chen Jinyao, Secretary-General of the Nutrition and Toxicology Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, Professor Zhang Lishi, Chairman of the Nutrition and Toxicology Branch of the Chinese Nutrition Society, and Professor Han Junhua, Secretary-General of the Chinese Nutrition Society, delivered welcome speeches

In the morning keynote speech session, Professor Zhang Lishi of West China School of Public Health of Sichuan University, Professor Zhang Wanqi of School of Public Health of Tianjin Medical University, Professor Li Wenjie of School of Public Health of Zhengzhou University and researcher Xu Haibin of National Food Safety Risk Assessment Center formulated principles-procedures-methods and iodine UL basis for nutrient UL respectively Research and revision progress, VitD research in type 2 diabetes, and research progress on plant active ingredients and health effects were reported at relevant conferences

The afternoon conference reports were presented by researcher Zhang Shuangqing, Institute of Nutrition and Health, Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Professor Zhao Xiulan from the School of Public Health of Shandong University, Zhang Jianqing, chief physician of Shenzhen Center for Disease Control and Prevention, Associate Professor Bu Qian from West China School of Public Health, Sichuan University, researcher Guo Jun from China Fertility Regulation Drug Toxicology Testing Center.
Liu Keliang, chief physician of the Institute of Toxicology, Sichuan Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, and Li Xiaomeng, assistant researcher of West China School of Public Health, Sichuan University, gave relevant keynote reports, including the efficacy and morphology of selenium, the research progress of the toxic effect of microplastics, the association between iodine and perchlorate and thyroid tumors, the current application of 3D organoid models, and the catechol EGCG Activity studies, 90-day oral toxicity hands-on, and application of two risk-benefit assessment models and their software (BRAFO and QALIBRA).
The conference successfully completed the scheduled academic exchange plan and other arrangements, promoted academic exchanges between experts, scholars and peers, achieved the expected purpose, and achieved a complete success
