BTA and silica have shown synergy to enhance the corrosion resistance and conductivity of PPy membranes. The composite PPy membrane showed excellent durability in the salt spray test.
the conductive polypyre (PPy) compound film is electrically deposited with BTA or/or silicon dioxide on copper in a salgmate solution
C
. The corrosion resistance and conductivity of composite membranes are evaluated by using polarization curves, open-circuit level (OCP) measurements and electrochemical impedance spectra in 5wt%NaCl solutions.
Enhanced corrosion resistance and conductivity
found that the individual doping of benzene triamcinolone (BTA) or silica in PPy films only slightly improved corrosion resistance, but the co-doping of BTA and silica in PPy films significantly improved the corrosion resistance and conductivity of composite films.
Salt Mist Test (SST) confirms the optimal corrosion resistance and durability of the ternate composite film due to the synergy of the physical barrier of silicon dioxide and the active protection of BTA inhibitors.
