Cees Dekker added: “One of the cool features of our technology is that we can read a single peptide string again and again, and then we read the average of all the data from a single molecule, so that it can be basically 100% Identify this molecule with accuracy

This will give you a unique interpretation, which is a characteristic of a specific protein

Scan the barcode for identification

This new technology is very powerful in identifying individual proteins and mapping the subtle changes between them, just like a cashier in a supermarket scans a barcode to identify each product

Using current nanopore peptide readers, researchers can start analyzing the proteins floating in our cells

Cees Dekker said, "We can continue to use this analogy: after the beads on the necklace are made, it still changes-some red beads have a phosphate group attached to them, some blue beads have a sugar group attached to it, etc.
