The Food and Drug Administration of Thailand releases the "Extraction Solvent Used in Food Production" Draft for Solicitation of Comments 

Food Partner Network News fromThailand’s Food and Drug Administration on October 28: The Bureau’s investigation found that solvents other than water are needed to assist extraction in many types of food production processes , and Thailand’s current effective food additives The regulations stipulate that food additive production technologies are divided into 27 functional groups, excluding extraction solvents .
In order to make provision requires the use of such substances, and to protect the health of consumers and the elimination of trade barriers, the council subdivisions Food Bureau issued "extraction solvent used in the production of food (Extraction solvent)" comments draft .
The consultation draft stipulates a list of 7 common solvents used for extraction in the food production process.
The list includes chemical substance names and INS and CAS codes, applicable food types, allowed maximum use limits, and allowed Maximum residue limits in foods .
And give examples of other kinds of solvents used for extraction in the food production process for confirmation .
The solicitation of opinions ends on November 20, 2021 .
