    Instructions for Synthesizing 2-[3-[4-(1H-Indazol-5-ylamino)-2-quinazolinyl]phenoxy]-N-(1-methylethyl)acetamide

In the chemical industry, synthesizing new compounds is a complex and often challenging process.
However, with the right instructions and equipment, even novice chemists can successfully synthesize new compounds.
In this article, we will provide detailed instructions for synthesizing 2-[3-[4-(1H-Indazol-5-ylamino)-2-quinazolinyl]phenoxy]-N-(1-methylethyl)acetamide, a promising new compound with potential medicinal properties.

    Equipment and Materials

Before you begin the synthesis process, make sure you have all the necessary equipment and materials.
You will need the following items:

    • Glass beakers
    • Glass stirring rod
    • Glass flask
    • Nitrile gloves
    • Safety goggles
    • Sodium hydroxide pellets (caution: handle with care)
    • 2-Amino-6-methoxybenzothiazole (73108-87-8) (available from suppliers such as Sigma-Aldrich)
    • 1-Methylethyl bromide (20467-47-7) (available from suppliers such as Sigma-Aldrich)
    • Potassium carbonate (12674-67-1)
    • Benzaldehyde (123-08-7)
    • Diphenyl ether (124-95-7)
    • Pyridine (110-86-1)
    • Water
    • Acetamide (535-83-2)

    Safety Precautions

    Synthesizing chemicals can be hazardous.
Make sure you take the necessary safety precautions:

    • Wear nitrile gloves and safety goggles at all times while handling chemicals.
    • Handle sodium hydroxide pellets with care, as they can cause skin irritation and burns.
    • Do not ingest any chemicals or allow them to come into contact with your skin or clothing.
    • In case of accidental ingestion or contact with chemicals, seek medical attention immediately.

    Synthesis Procedure

Step 1: Prepare a solution of 2-amino-6-methoxybenzothiazole in benzaldehyde.

Add 73108-87-8 (2-amino-6-methoxybenzothiazole) to a small beaker, and add 123-08-7 (benzaldehyde).
Stir the mixture until it dissolves, then add 124-95-7 (diphenyl ether) and 110-86-1 (pyridine).
    Mix the solution well.

Step 2: Add the solution from step 1 to a solution of 1-methylethyl bromide in potassium carbonate.

Add the solution from step 1 to a medium-sized flask, and add water and 535-83-2 (acetamide).
Stir the mixture until it dissolves, then add 20467-47-7 (1-methylethyl bromide).
    Mix the solution well.

Step 3: Heat the mixture from step 2 to activate the bromide.

Place the flask on a hot plate, and heat the mixture to ca.
    60-70 °C.
Stir the mixture occasionally to ensure even heating.

Step 4: Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature.

After heating the mixture for several hours, allow it to cool to room temperature.

Step 5: Filter the mixture and collect the filtrate.

Filter the mixture through a bed of anhydrous sodium sulfate, then collect the filtrate in a clean
