Photo source: Recently, the Journal of international society of microbial ecology published the latest results of Professor Li Xia's team from school of plant science and technology of Huazhong Agricultural University.this study revealed the changes of rhizobia in Soybean Rhizosphere under different soil conditions and the mechanism of regulating the interaction between fast-growing and slow-growing rhizobia and soybean and the colonization specificity in the nodules, which provided an important theoretical basis for the environmental adaptability of soybean rhizobia and the improvement of nodulation efficiency under adversity.legume Rhizobium symbiosis is an important type of plant microbial symbiosis. The establishment of this symbiotic relationship is very complicated and affected by many factors.soybean can coexist with fast-growing and slow-growing rhizobia.however, it has long been found that there are obvious geographical differences in the interaction between these two rhizobia and soybean, that is, in the soybean planting areas in Northeast and South China, the main rhizobia are slow rhizobia, while in the main soybean production areas of Huang Huai Hai, the fast-growing rhizobia are dominant.due to the difference of soil acidity and alkalinity in these soybean producing areas, previous studies suggested that the colonization specificity of rhizobia in soybean nodules might be mainly determined by the soil acidity and alkalinity.soybean rhizosphere has a specific microbial community and is affected by the environment.however, it has not been reported whether the microbial composition of Soybean Rhizosphere has changed in different soil types, and whether the rhizosphere microorganisms affect the interaction specificity between the two types of rhizobia and soybean has not been reported.Han Qin, the first author of the paper and a postdoctoral fellow of Huazhong Agricultural University, found that there were significant differences in the composition of rhizobia in three types of soil (Wuhan acid, Jilin neutral and Hebei alkaline) from three main soybean planting areas, and there was an obvious interaction between rhizobia and other rhizosphere bacteria.it was also found that Bacillus and Pseudomonas were related to the colonization of fast-growing and slow-growing rhizobia in soybean nodules.it is worth mentioning that among the 278 strains of candidate bacillus, Bacillus cereus group can not only specifically promote the growth of fast-growing rhizobia and inhibit the growth of slow-growing rhizobia, but also alleviate the negative effect of saline alkali stress on the nodulation of fast-growing Rhizobium and increase its colonization in the nodules.the results showed that rhizospheric bacterial microflora played a key role in the formation of Soybean Rhizobium host interaction and symbiosis.these findings provide a scientific basis for improving the nitrogen fixation efficiency of Soybean Rhizobium symbiosis by using synthetic bacterial communities.: the official account is hosted by the Microbiological Resource Center and the big data center of the Institute of Microbiology, Chinese Academy of Sciences.
