However, existing studies have found that some consumers do not understand the information on nutrition labels.     In her speech, Ms. Su Pei stressed the important guiding role of FOPL in consumers' choice of healthy foods and stimulating food manufacturers to improve their formulations according to standards, saying that WHO is actively committed to promoting the implementation of FOPL in various countries, recommending that countries develop and develop locally appropriate FOPL, and in the development process of FOPL, led by the government, research institutions, CDC, industry and other sectors of society to participate in cooperation. She affirmed that the general guidelines on nutrition labelling of prepackaged foods currently being revised in China referred to "allowing the front of the packaging to be supplemented with nutritional content table information in graphical, written and other forms" and expressed the hope that such a move would lay the foundation for China's FOPL policy formulation.
