Recently, researchers from the respiratory department of Xiangya Hospital of Central South University published a paper aiming at endoplasmic reticulum stress is one of the important mechanisms leading to apoptosis in the course of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease This study explored the regulatory role of AMPK in the apoptosis of bronchial epithelial cells induced by cigarette smoke extract The results showed that CSE could induce apoptosis of NHBE cells in a time-dependent and concentration dependent manner, and the expression of AMPK might have a protective effect on cell resistance to CSE induced ER stress This article was published in the 29th issue of Chinese Journal of modern medicine in 2014 The experiment was divided into four groups: blank control group, AMPK specific inhibitor (compound C) group, CSE group and CSE + compound C group Human bronchial epithelial cells (NHBE) were cultured in vitro and treated with CSE and compound C respectively The expression levels of CHOP, Caspase 4 and p-AMPK protein were detected by Western blot The morphological changes were observed by Hoechst33342 staining and the apoptosis rate was detected by flow cytometry Compared with the control group, the expression of p-ampk / AMPK protein in CSE intervention group decreased significantly (P0.05).
