The study found that tiger sharks feed on migratory birds

tiger sharks often feed on seasonal birds and eat birds that fall into the sea, dead or alive, according to new research.
the study dates back to 2010, when researchers caught a young tiger shark in the Gulf of Mexico in North America spitting out a plume of feathers. The team believes the feathers may have come from seabirds, but on the contrary, they come from a songbird.
to find out if the phenomenon was widespread, the team looked at the stomach contents of young tiger sharks from 2010 to 2018. The researchers examined 105 young tiger sharks, 41 of which had bird feathers in their stomachs. Scientists report in the May 21 issue of the journal Ecology that, after ornithologists identified and DNA analysis, foundspecies of birds, none of which were seabirds, in the esophology of 41 young tiger sharks, including , sparrows and even pigeons.
researchers believe that storms blow tired migratory birds into the sea, unable to take off again and drown, making them food for young tiger sharks.
