Although hormone therapy (HT) is still the most effective treatment for menopausal symptoms, some women hesitate to use it because of concerns about various adverse health effects
Over the years, people have had a heated debate on the pros and cons of HT
In this new study, the researchers collected data on more than 58,000 postmenopausal women from the Korean National Health Insurance database and investigated the relationship between HT, heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
The results of the study were published in the article "Effects of menopausal hormone therapy on cardiovascular disease and type 2 diabetes in postmenopausal middle-aged women: An analysis of the Korean National Health Insurance Service Database"
