Ukraine's agricultural exports declined and imports increased

Ukraine's agricultural exports fell 0.3 percent year-on-year to $20 billion in January-November 2020, Ukraine's Agroportal network reported on December 14, citing the Ukrainian Agricultural Business Club.

Despite the decline in cereal harvests, wheat exports grew by 2.7 per cent (to $3.5 billion), barley by 29.4 per cent (to $864 million), honey exports by 28.7 per cent (to $117.5 million), frozen beef by 8.8 per cent (72.3 million) and crustaceans by nearly 9 times ($4.8 million).
vegetable oil exports grew by 20.7 per cent ($5.17 billion) and manufactured goods by 2 per cent ($3 billion).
manufactured goods were mainly tobacco substitutes, which grew the fastest (up 20.4 per cent), as well as baking products and paper (up 12.8 per cent).
