What is cholera?

Cholera is an acute intestinal infectious disease caused by Vibrio cholerae, which is characterized by rapid onset, rapid spread and wide spread.

What are the symptoms of cholera infection?

After infection with Vibrio cholerae, the most typical symptoms are "vomiting and diarrhea", mainly manifested as diarrhea and vomiting, which can lead to loss of fluid and electrolytes in the patient's body, and even death in severe hypokalemia

How is cholera spread?

Cholera is a fecal-oral infection of the intestinal tract

According to the "National Cholera Surveillance Program (Trial)", all localities must conduct inspections whenever in doubt, that is, for each suspected case of cholera, feces or/and vomitus specimens must be collected for isolation and culture of pathogenic bacteria

In cholera-prone areas, the annual rate of isolation and retrieval of pathogenic bacteria from diarrhea patients on a county basis is no less than 10% of the total number of diarrhea patients
