In terms of sub-sectors, the fastest growth rate was in pharmaceutical-specific equipment, up 97.8% YoY, with the growth rate of chemical raw materials, pharmaceutical preparations, pharmaceutical accessories and packaging materials higher than the industry average.
January-March, the pharmaceutical industry in our province achieved a total profit of 2.895 billion yuan, up 18.4% YoY, higher than the national average of 10.8 percentage points in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry. The fastest growth rate was in chemical raw materials, with profits up 162.77 percent year-on-year, and sub-sectors such as pharmaceutical preparations, pharmaceutical accessories and packaging materials and medical devices achieving higher-than-average profit growth. The profit margin of the pharmaceutical industry in the province was 11.65 percent, up 0.53 percentage points from a year earlier, the profit growth rate was higher than the growth rate of operating income, the business situation of enterprises was better, and the quality of industry development was further improved.
