The experts made the above in the video seminar "The EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement Brings Opportunities for Vietnamese and Polish Enterprises" jointly organized by the Trade and Investment Promotion Center of Ho Chi Minh City and the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland on April 22.
    Express.

Nguyen Xiong, the Vietnamese Embassy in Poland, revealed that Vietnam and Poland have maintained a good cooperative relationship for many years.
Among them, the bilateral trade and investment cooperation continues to develop.
In 2020, despite the impact of the new crown pneumonia epidemic, the bilateral trade volume between the two countries will still increase by 15.
    5% over 2019.
Vietnam regards Poland as the most important economic partner in Eastern Europe.
Vietnam is evaluated as one of Poland's important strategic partners in Southeast Asia.
Both sides agreed to further strengthen the cooperation between the business communities of the two countries.

Ambassador Nguyen Xiong said that both Vietnam and Poland have advantages in agricultural development.
The various agricultural products of the two countries do not directly compete, but are highly complementary.
Poland produces and exports all kinds of meat, meat products and dairy products, while Vietnam’s dominant agricultural products are coffee, cashew nuts, peppers, etc.

In particular, after the "Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement" came into effect, various agricultural products of the two countries have enjoyed many preferential tax policies.
This is a great opportunity for the two countries to increase the volume of bilateral trade.

Piotr Harasimowicz, chief representative of the Polish Investment and Trade Agency in Ho Chi Minh City, said that Poland is a potential market for Vietnamese companies after the "Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement" takes effect.

Nguyen Cheng Hoi, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy of Vietnam in Poland, revealed that Vietnam’s rice, coffee, pepper, shrimp and other agricultural products enjoy duty-free treatment, which will help enhance its competitive advantage in the Polish market and even in the European Union.

Ruan Chenghai said that all products exported to Poland must meet the EU's general quality standards and ensure the transparency of information on the packaging.
In addition, companies also need to propose suitable product prices in order to enhance their competitiveness against rivals.
After establishing cooperative relations with Polish companies, Vietnamese companies can seize this opportunity to participate in technology transfer, especially the country's food processing technology.

When Huang Chunping, chairman of the Polish Vietnam Merchants Association, shared about the business environment in Poland, there are currently more than 30,000 Vietnamese living in Poland.
These include businessmen engaged in import and export, consumer goods distribution, and catering services.
They have a lot of experience, understand local business habits, and have invested in the construction of many shopping malls serving goods sales activities from Asia to Europe.

In order to effectively use the advantages of the Vietnam-EU Free Trade Agreement in increasing export efforts, Vietnamese companies need to fully understand the needs of consumers in Poland and the EU in order to meet market requirements.
