    (NDO) Tuna exports have been making a positive contribution to Vietnam’s export activitiesagainst the backdrop of sharp fluctuations in the global market for more than a year

    According to statistics from the General Administration of Vietnam Customs, after a surge of 108% in the first month of 2022, with the export value reaching US$88 million, tuna exports continued to grow sharply by 57% in February, with the export value reaching US$67 million
    .
    This number is double the level in February 2019, before the outbreak

    Chen Wenxin, Director of the Department of Industry and Trade of Phu An Province, the tuna fishing industry is very developed in the three provinces of Binh Dinh, Phu An and Khanh Hoa

    In the past, tuna weighing dozens of kilograms was only exported, but now domestic consumers can easily enjoy this product
    .
    Many tuna product suppliers have also changed their marketing, promoting on social networks to attract more consumers' attention
    .
    At the same time, strengthening domestic consumption channels will not only have a knock-on effect in enhancing the image of Vietnamese tuna, but also help increase consumption channels, make the sales of Vietnamese tuna more flexible, and avoid dependence on a single market

    Therefore, meeting the needs of domestic customers is also a solution to attract international customers to increase their selection of Vietnamese tuna
