    Vietnam's "Commercial News" reported on January 11 that according to the Vietnam Association of Aquatic Products Export and Processing (VASEP), since the Vietnam-Eurasian Economic Union Free Trade Agreement (VN-EAEUFTA) came into effect, Vietnamese aquatic products have shown great interest in the Russian market.

    The association said that although the number of Vietnamese aquatic product exporters allowed to enter the Russian market is limited at this stage, considering the convenience of railway freight lines between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union, Vietnamese enterprises can use railway transportation to avoid the recent high Shipping costs and lengthy shipping schedules, and bilateral settlement in the currency of the local market to avoid the frequently fluctuating exchange rate between rubles and dollars

    At the same time, export enterprises should also pay close attention to and comply with Russia's regulatory requirements in the fields of food safety and inspection and quarantine
