    Vietnam's seafood exports to Russia plunged 86% and 46% in March and April due to the Russian-Ukrainian conflict at the beginning of the year
    , shipping disruptions and payment difficulties, respectively.
     
    In May, Vietnamese seafood exports to Russia began to pick up steadily, with exports up 36% and 98%
    respectively in July and August.
     
    From January to August this year, Vietnam's seafood exports to Russia exceeded $94 million, but decreased by 20% year-on-year, catfish is Russia's main export product, exports of $21 million, accounting for 22%, down 21% year-on-year, white-legged shrimp, surimi and fish sauce exports fell by more than
    50% year-on-year.
