Tran Dinh Huai, secretary general of the Vietnam Aquatic Products Processing and Export Association, said that Vietnam currently has more than 500 shrimp exporters, exporting to 103 markets, mainly in the United States, the European Union, China, South Korea, the United Kingdom, Russia and other major markets

　　Affected by the new crown epidemic, Vietnam's shrimp exports to the EU declined in the third quarter of 2021, and began to rebound in the fourth quarter of 2021

In 2022, the Japanese market, especially shrimp processing and breaded shrimp products, are recovering and rebounding growth, all of which are advantageous products in Vietnam

　　According to the Global Aquaculture Alliance (GAA) report, the scale of global shrimp production in 2021 will be at least 8.
9% higher than in 2020, and will continue to grow in 2022

This is one of the factors that have a direct impact on Vietnam's shrimp industry, in addition to the declining world prices of raw shrimp and changes in food safety and quarantine regulations for imported products

　　Phong Duc Jin, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of Vietnam, said that in 2022, Vietnam's agriculture will continue to take supporting measures to achieve sustainable development of the shrimp industry
